Can I Replace my Stock Exhaust in Dubai?

We receive a lot of similar questions. Here we are answering the following one: "I own 2014 Ford F150 5.0 and was thinking to replace the original exhaust with another one from your garage, however, I need to check with you first if any approval needed from RTA or Dubai police, in case I got stopped and will it pass RTA test for renewal?"

Thank you for getting in touch with us. Your question is extremely common.

In terms of Dubai Police, you do not need approvals and Dubai Police will never stop you on the road unless you are provoking them. In terms of RTA, in principle, they won't bother you during passing unless your exhaust is too loud. If it is too loud then they will ask you to put the original one back on for passing. Once passing is done you can put the Borla one back. RTA doesn't use a sound/decibel reader hence some inspectors might let it pass and some might not.
